3. WHAT DATES SHOULD I BE IN CAPPADOCIA?

wedding events take place on may 29th. we recommend arriving into cappadocia may 28th or before, and departing on the 30th or after.

4. DO I NEED TO STAY AT THE AVANTGARDE REFINED HOTEL?

definitely not. with the number of hotels available in the area we leave the options totally open for your taste, budget, and explorations.

5. HOW EARLY SHOULD I BOOK MY HOTEL?

if booking at the avantgarde refined hotel, we recommend sooner than later as the allocated rooms may all get booked.

for other hotels booking timing can be at your convenience, however due to local holiday season in may, we always recommend an earlier booking confirmation.

6. IS THE WEDDING OUTDOORS?

yes! there is a plateau outside with stunning open views of the area. due to the location of the ceremony and dinner being on unpaved ground, we advise for comfortable shoes and not to wear stilettos.

7. WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?

end of may is a beautiful time with warmer days and cool nights. its recommended to bring a light jacket or shawl for the evening outside after the sun sets.

• evening: 10°C – 15°C  (50°F – 59°F)

• night: 8°C – 12°C (46°F – 54°F)

8. WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

dress code is black (because what other colour would we choose?)

we request ladies wear black long dresses/ jumpsuits/pantsuits & traditional black tie for men

9. DO I NEED A VISA TO GET INTO TURKEY?

passport countries eligible for e-visa or visa-free entry into turkey:

canada, united states, united kingdom, kuwait, poland, ukraine, Jordan, and lebanon

passport holders of below countries will require to apply for a visa in advance through the turkish embassy before entering turkey:

syria, australia, egypt, iraq, india

** we kindly ask all guests to check their passport expiration dates, individual passport requirements, and apply in advance if needed to avoid any delays. if you’re unsure, you can check turkey’s official visa website or contact your local turkish embassy for guidance.

10. WHAT FOOD AND DRINKS WILL BE AVAILABLE?

a curated selection of delicious turkish and international dishes will be served throughout the celebration. guests can expect a full menu that includes appetizers, main courses, desserts, and vegetarian options. a variety of beverages will also be available, including soft drinks, juices, cocktails, tea, and coffee. available alcohol will be unlimited throughout the celebration.

if you have any dietary restrictions or special requests, please let us know in advance so we can accommodate you comfortably.

11. WILL TRANSPORTATION BE PROVIDED ON THE WEDDING DAY

if you are staying at the avantgarde refined hotel, all events of the celebration will be held on site.

if you are staying off-site, we kindly request to arrange your own transportation to and from the wedding venue.

12. WHAT ACTIVITIES ARE AVAILABLE IN CAPPDOCIA?

hot air balloon rides at sunrise, göreme open air museum, sunset horseback rides, atv tours, hiking through the valley,

wine tastings, traditional turkish baths and a whole lot more.

13. CAN I BRING PHYSICAL GIFTS TO THE WEDDING?

Your being with us is the only gift we could ask for.
